What is Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)?


The disease was originally thought of as a disease of inflammation of the muscles attaching to the lateral epicondyle, the outer part of the lower humerus. More recently there have been in-depth histological studies, which show a different pathological process at play. The condition is now described by most as a failed reparative process.
