Product Description

Low-Intensity Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy Equipment For The Treatment Of Male Erectile Dysfunction

Low-intensity extracorporeal shock wave therapy is a safe treatment for men with erectile dysfunction and might work to improve, or even cure, ED in some patients. ... Research on the use of shock wave therapy in Peyronie's disease has shown it may improve penile pain, but not curvature.

Shockwave Therapy for Erectile Dysfunction: Does It Work?

The most important of all is that they feel more confident and it has helped them to regain the spark in their marriage.

Shockwave therapy is one of the many treatment options for erectile dysfunction (ED). Though it isn’t FDA approved, the science behind this pill-free treatment has been supported by several studiesTrusted Source that have turned up encouraging results.

Shockwave therapy appears to work best for men with vasculogenic ED, which is a blood vessel disorder that affects blood flow to tissue in the penis. The therapy’s effectiveness with other causes of ED remains to be seen.

What is shockwave therapy?

The clinical term for shockwave therapy is low-intensity shockwave therapy (LiSWT). It’s a noninvasive therapy that’s been used in orthopedics for years to help heal broken bones, injured ligaments, and injured tendons.

LiSWT has also been used to improve wound healing. Using targeted high-energy sound waves, LiSWT can speed up tissue repair and cell growth.

Erections rely on healthy blood flow to the penile tissue. Shockwave therapy is viewed favorably as a way of repairing and strengthening blood vessels in the penis and improving blood flow.

Increasing blood flow to the penis is the same goal of more traditional ED treatments, such as oral medications, including sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis).

How does it work?

Shockwave therapy is administered with a wand-like device placed near different areas of the penis. A healthcare provider moves the device along parts of your penis for about 15 minutes while it emits gentle pulses. No anesthesia is needed.

The pulses trigger improved blood flow and tissue remodeling in the penis. Both of these changes can lead to erections sufficient for sex.

There’s currently no established recommendation for treatment period or frequency.

What does the research say?

The same 2019 review and meta-analysis found that erectile function significantly improved with shockwave therapy. Results were best among men with vasculogenic ED.

A 2010 pilot study found that among 20 men with vasculogenic ED, all experienced improved erectile function after 6 months of shockwave treatment. Follow-up with the men found no adverse effects.

Despite this encouraging research, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) hasn’t approved shockwave therapy as a treatment for ED. Some doctors may still offer shockwave therapy for ED, but use outside of a research setting is considered off-label.

FDA approvals for new treatments are always accompanied by guidelines for doctors to follow and side effects to be shared with patients.

As with any unapproved treatment, if you choose to do shockwave therapy for ED, there may be risks that aren’t properly explained, or you may be spending money on a treatment that doesn’t live up to its promises.

Additionally, treatments that haven’t been approved by the FDA usually aren’t covered by insurance.

According to a statement from the Sexual Medicine Society of North America (SMSNA), there isn’t enough “robust clinical trial data” to support the widespread clinical use of shockwave therapy. The SMSNA recommends that shockwave therapy only be done under strict research protocols.

Our shockwave therapy machine breakthrough therapeutic system can bring lasting improvement in erectile function and new sexual spontaneity to millions – painlessly, naturally and safety. Smartwave EDSWTuses pulsed acoustic waves, known in Europe as shockwave therapy, to address the root cause of poor sexual performance for men - poor blood flow. How effective is ESWT?
The results were an amazing average reduction in pain of 92% with only one treatment. (This data reflects the results of all patients treated in the study one year after receiving one treatment with the Dornier EPOS ESWT machine).

What signs indicate this therapy is needed?
Shock wave therapy may treat conditions such as degenerated tendons (Achilles tendonitis), heel pain (plantar fasciitis) and tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis).

When should I Consider ESWT?
If you have had your condition for more than six months and have tried three conservative therapies with no results, do not wait any longer to seek help. It is natural to procrastinate, but not a good idea for tendonitis conditions, since continuously using degenerative tendon tissue can cause further damage.

When should I avoid this therapy?
Complications are infrequent with shock wave therapy. People who have poor sensation (neuropathy) or hypersensitivity in the target area should not have this procedure. Open sores should also be avoided. Shock wave therapy is not used in patients with heart conditions or seizures. It should not be used during pregnancy. This should be discussed with your physician before undergoing the procedure.

Am I a candidate for Shockwave Therapy?
The following criteria must all be meet before treatment may begin:

1. You have been diagnosed with a condition that Shockwave Therapy has been demonstrated effective in treating. (Either from our doctor, your family doctor, or surgeon).

2. There are no significant or serious side effects or contraindications.

3. Surgery is the only other viable alternative.

4. Conservative treatments have failed or did not work.

5. You understand the procedure, costs and other factors involved in your program of treatment.
